The complete initial commissioning including the basic setting is described in this video.
For the basic setup, select Settings at the bottom left and then HomePilot Configuration.
Network:
In the network setting you can, among other things, activate and configure WLAN in case you want to operate your HomePilot via WLAN. Note: WLAN does not have to be activated for the smartphone to access the HomePilot. WLAN is the alternative to the LAN connection that establishes the connection to the router. To use WLAN, turn on WLAN and then click on "Select WLAN" After you have selected the appropriate network, please enter your network key. After that you can remove the LAN cable.
Tip: if the available networks are not displayed immediately, pull down the screen once briefly (pull to Refresh).
Maintenance:
Update:
In this section you can update your HomePilot to the current version. Please note that an update is only possible if you are logged into the same network at home as the HomePilot. An update is not possible if you are connected via WR-Connect.
Backup:
You can create a backup file at any time and send it by mail, this way you can make sure that you can restore your data at any time.
Location and Time:
The HomePilot uses the settings made here to calculate the astro times (dawn/dusk) for the respective location. Note: To determine your location longitude & latitude, you can for example simply click and hold your location in Google Maps. The time is usually determined automatically via an NTP server, but can also be entered manually if required.
Holiday function:
The holiday function causes triggers on holidays to behave like they do on Sundays. for example: If you open your shutters later on Sunday, this will then apply on holidays as well. To do this, select your country, region and, if necessary, city.
In addition, you can create your own holidays, such as the next day off or vacation.
WR Connect:
In most cases, the HomePilot is registered for remote access directly during initial commissioning. At this point, you can also perform the registration afterwards.
You can also switch off remote access.
ATTENTION: If you switch off the connection outside your local network, this can only be undone in the local network.
In addition, you can permanently deregister the HomePilot from your WR Connect account.
Local Password:
You have the option to protect your HomePilot with an additional password. CAUTION: If you forget the password, the HomePilot must be completely reset, which will delete all settings and logged-in devices. Therefore, please make sure to create a backup file before activating the additional password protection.
If you activate the additional password protection, access via the PC interface is only possible after entering the password. The password does not have to be the same as the one used for registration.
The password can be changed if necessary.
Devices visibility:
You have the option to turn off the visibility in the general settings of the devices, in case certain devices are not used or should not be displayed. The devices remain visible until the device visibility is globally switched off at this point.
Continue with the registration ofdevices.
