Depending on the device, different device settings are available in the configuration.
The device settings can be made via the HomePilot® app and via the HomePilot® interface. The images shown here show the HomePilot® app.
Voice control:
The HomePilot® currently supports voice control via Alexa and via Google Assistant. In order for the devices to be found by the providers, the device must be enabled for the service by clicking on the service.
Reverse direction of rotation:
If a tubular motor rotates in the wrong direction after commissioning, the direction of rotation can be changed using this function.
Running time:
The running time must be set once for tubular motor actuators. The running time is the time required for the roller shutter to open completely. Close the shutter completely and then stop the runtime needed to open it. Add one to two seconds to the measured time and enter this time here.
The entered running time is used as the basis for calculating all positions.
Note: No runtime setting is necessary for radio tube motors and DuoFern belt winders.
Ventilation position:
If you do not want to close certain roller shutters completely, e.g. in the bathroom or bedrooms, activate the ventilation position and specify a position at which the roller shutter should stop.
As a result, every manual and automatic closing command will stop at the selected position. Manually, the roller shutter can be closed completely by another closing command. If 100% is selected as the target in a scene, the ventilation position is not taken into account.
Blind mode:
The blind mode is only used to control external venetian blind drives. This mode can be activated and set for external actuators to achieve the following functions.
- Jog mode is switched on. If the actuator (Troll Basic DuoFern 5615 or tubular motor actuator 9471) is operated locally by a pushbutton, the slats can be turned by short pushbutton pulses.
- Slat position in the app is activated. In the app, you get a second slat position control with which the slats can be turned to the desired position.
- Automatic turning, the actuator can automatically turn the slats to a definable desired position on request.
- Slat position in scenes is switched on, In addition to the normal blind position, any slat position can also be entered in the scene.
After the blind mode has been switched on, the slat running time should be checked first and adjusted if necessary.
The slat running time is the time that the slats require for complete rotation. For slats that perform a 180° turn, a value of 1.5 seconds is recommended as the initial setting. For slats that make an approximate 90° turn, a setting of 1 second is recommended as the first value. Check the setting by exiting the menu and then turning the slats several times. If the value is too small, the slats will not turn completely, if the value is too large, the slats will turn completely, but the blind will then continue to move a little further. Adjust the value accordingly.
The "Desired slat position" is the position that is approached after automatic turning. If you move to a position in scenes, this has nothing to do with the position selected here.
You use the automatic turning function to specify the positions in which automatic turning to the "Desired slat position" set above is to take place.
The motor reaction time is used for external venetian blind drives that are set via electronic limit switches. These motors do not switch directly from the downward to the upward direction, but have a reaction time. Select the appropriate value here or enter a user-defined value.
Blocking detection:
The switchable blocking detection can be activated on the 9471-1 tubular motor actuator to protect mechanically adjustable tubular motors (also from competitors) in the event of blocking. If the roller shutter is frozen on the window sill in winter, for example, the blockage detection can detect this and interrupt the opening process.
Select the appropriate motor type from the list. If the motor type is unknown, first select the one medium motor type 45mm medium variant up to 10Nm and check the function.
Note: The function can only be used in conjunction with mechanically adjustable motors. If the function is activated for motors with electronically adjustable end points, the motor will not run through afterwards. In this case, switch the function off again.
