The groups can currently no longer be moved to percentage values. A command such as: "Alexa, move first floor to 30%" is not implemented. However, groups can be opened or closed completely by saying: "Alexa, open first floor" or "Alexa, close first floor".
Further explanation
Since the introduction of the HomePilot Alexa skill about 2 years ago, there has unfortunately not been a device type in the Alexa world that supports shutter control in the way that users can control their devices with natural speech. Therefore, we have since used the so-called Percentage Controller as a control element for roller shutters. This controller, originally intended for e.g. dimmers, unfortunately had the disadvantage that commands like "go up", "open" or "close" were not executed correctly or inversely. In addition, devices of this type had no control element in the Amazon Alexa app and on Amazon Alexa devices with display.
Recently, Amazon has expanded the list of device types by the type roller shutter/blind and offers a so-called range controller. With this it is now possible to operate devices with natural speech and control devices via the Amazon Display devices via control element.
With the last update, we have now converted the devices of the type roller shutter to this new controller, in order to enable the most comfortable, intuitive operation possible, because we are like Amazon of the opinion that it should be the goal to control devices with intuitive speech. Unfortunately, however, there are apparently problems with the percentage value operation of groups of such devices controlled on the basis of the Range Controller (see: https://forums.developer.amazon.com/questions/224300/device-with-rangecontroller-inside-a-group.html). Unfortunately, these were not detected during our tests and also during the release of our skill. We assume that Amazon will expand this function with the Range Controller shortly, but here we are unfortunately dependent on Amazon and have no direct influence on this function.
Solution
You can operate your devices as usual via Percentage Controller in groups again , if you want that. You just have to add (P) in the device description of the Homepilot. Our skill will then recognize and control these devices as before. Please note that the commands like "open" and "close" will not work with these devices anymore. Afterwards, please perform a synchronization of the devices.
