Before you set up the HomePilot smart home app, the bridge should be completely connected.
The bridge can be accessed via the HomePilot® smart home app or via the user interface on the computer. We recommend using the HomePilot® smart home app for initial commissioning. 1.
Download the HomePilot® smart home app from the appropriate store. 2.
Create a user account and complete the registration by clicking the link in the confirmation email within 48 hours.
Note: For many providers, the confirmation email will be directed to the spam folder. Please check there if you do not receive an email.
3. the app will automatically start searching for a bridge on the local network in the next step. Make sure that you are on the same network as the bridge at this time with your smartphone. For example, if you are on the guest network or restrictions are set for the smartphone in the router, the bridge may not be found.
4. you can enable free remote access for the bridge to operate the devices outside the local network. The remote access is necessary to operate the devices by voice control via Alexa and Google.
After the initial commissioning, check whether any updates are available and install them.
Alternatively, you can also access the bridge via your computer's default browser. To do this, enter http://bridge.local or the IP address of the bridge in the browser line.
The IP address is automatically assigned by your router. If necessary, look in the settings of your router for the corresponding address.
