The HomePilot has been the control center for our Smarthome system for many years. In the meantime, the HomePilot is delivered in the 3rd generation.
The HomePilot2 and the new HomePilot differ only minimally in function and possibilities.
The purchase price of the new HomePilot is cheaper, because the hardware no longer requires certain assemblies, such as HDMI, optical output and SD card slot. With the HomePilot2 these were still present, but are not used.
The new HomePilot no longer supports the Z-Wave radio protocol.
Both versions use the free HomePilot app, support voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and can be operated remotely via our free server.
Conclusion: For HomePilot2 users, there is no reason to switch to the new HomePilot. For all others, the complete solution for the smarthome is significantly cheaper.
