Simplest basic setting of the RolloTron 1700
(also valid for RolloTron 1800)
If for some reason you have adjusted the settings of your RolloTron 1700, we explain here what steps you should take to correct the settings again.
Note:
Older RolloTron devices have an Up and Down setting button instead of the Plus and Minus buttons. Press them in the corresponding places in the Quick Start Guide.
Example:
Normal opening time 7:00 h
Normal closing time: 20:00 h
No twilight-dependent control
- Open the menu by pressing the M key
- Press the Plus key once to reach menu item 2 and confirm with OK.
- The display must show ON. If OFF is displayed, press the Plus key and confirm with OK.
- The current opening time is now displayed here; change it to suit your requirements. Use the Plus or Minus keys to do this. Confirm the entry with OK.
- Normal or Astro now flashes in the display. To use the normal opening time, select Normal and confirm with OK.
- Now set the desired closing time. Confirm the entry with OK
- Normal, Sensor or Astro now flashes in the display. To use the normal closing time, select Normal and confirm with OK.
- Exit the menu by pressing and holding the M key.
If necessary, check whether the time currently displayed is set correctly. If this is not the case, please correct it by opening the menu and selecting menu item 9, pressing OK once and then confirming item 9-1 again with OK. Change the time using the plus and minus buttons and confirm each entry with OK.
Your RolloTron 1700 has an astro function that calculates the twilight in the morning and evening depending on the date and postal code. The so-called "civil twilight" is used as the basis for the calculation.
Example:
Astro controlled opening, earliest 6:00 o 'clock (important for the summer, if it is e.g. already dawn at 5:00 o'clock, the shutters would be opened only at 6:00 o'clock)
Astro controlled closing: at the latest 22:00 o'clock (even if it dawns in the summer only at 23 o'clock, the shutters are closed nevertheless at the latest time).
- Open the menu by pressing the M button
- Press the Plus key once to reach menu item 2 and confirm with OK.
- The display must show ON, if OFF is displayed, press the Plus key and confirm with OK.
- The current opening time is now displayed here; this is used as the earliest time. Change it according to your wishes. Use the Plus and Minus keys to do this. Confirm the entry with OK.
- The display now flashes Normal or Astro. To use the astro-controlled opening, select Astro and confirm with OK.
- The display now shows you the current opening time, taking into account the Astro function and the earliest time, for checking purposes.
- Please note that in summer the calculated twilight time will be very early and the actual opening time is determined by the earliest time. If, for example, it is twilight at 5 o'clock but you have set an earliest time of 6 o'clock, you will see ACTUAL 6 o'clock at this point. Confirm with OK
- Now set the desired earliest time. If you want the roller shutter to be closed at dusk all year round, select a time that is as late as possible, e.g. 11 pm. Confirm the entry with OK.
- Normal, Sensor or Astro now flashes in the display. To be able to use the astro-controlled closing, select Astro and confirm with OK.
- The display now shows you the current closing time, taking the Astro function and the latest time into account.
- Please note that in summer the calculated twilight time will be very late and the actual closing time is determined by the latest time. If, for example, it is twilight at 11 p.m. but you have set a latest time of 8 p.m., you will see ACTUAL 8 p.m. at this point.
- Exit the menu by pressing and holding the M key.
If necessary, check whether the time currently displayed is set correctly. If this is not the case, please correct it by opening the menu and selecting menu item 9, pressing OK once and then confirming item
9-1 again with OK. Change the time with the plus and minus keys and confirm each entry with OK.
