If Alexa cannot reach the SmartHome Box for any reason,
Alexa reports a connection problem, such as "Server not responding"
Solution
In order for Alexa and the SmartHome Box to work together, a technical connection is established between the two systems via the WR Connect Server. For security reasons, this requires the connection token to be exchanged between the two systems. This is usually done once during setup.
It can happen that a connection token becomes invalid or multiple connections exist.
This can lead to malfunctions so that Alexa can no longer execute the commands correctly.
Before you carry out the next steps, make sure that the SmartHome Box is working as usual via the Rademacher app.
Carry out the following steps to solve a connection problem:
Reactivate the skill:
In most cases, it is sufficient to deactivate and reactivate the RADEMACHER skill once.
- Open the Alexa app and click on "More" at the bottom right
- Select Skills and games and search for Rademacher.
- Click on "Deactivate skill" and then on "Activate skill" again
- Enter your access data and check the function.
Delete duplicate connections
- Go to the WR Connect portal (remote access) and log in.

- Select account
- Select Connected apps & Services
- Search for the connections to Alexa and delete them by clicking on the dustbin symbol on the right.
- Then deactivate the Rademacher skill in the Alexa app and reactivate it.
