Depending on the device, different device settings are available in the configuration.
The motion detector consists of two parts. If you call up the motion detector under switch actuators, the settings of the switch actuators are displayed. Information can be found under the following link.
Device settings for switching actuators
Connection sensor - actuator:
By default, the sensor and the actuator of the motion detector are connected. This means that as soon as motion is detected, the actuator is switched on. However, in order to be able to carry out more individual programming, the sensor can also be disconnected from the actuator. The disconnection can be activated for both the switch actuator part and the sensor part.
When you call up the motion detector under Transmitter, the following settings are displayed.
The device settings can be made via the HomePilot® app and via HomePilot® interface. The images shown here show the HomePilot® App.
Sensor Sensitivity:
The sensitivity of the DuoFern motion sensor can be set in several levels. The higher the value, the greater the sensitivity. (high sensitivity 7 = sensor reacts very early, low sensitivity 1 = sensor reacts very late/late).
LED behavior:
By factory default, the LED in the motion detector flashes every time motion is detected, even if the motion detector is set to Manu. In this menu item you can switch off the LED. This means that the motion detector is active, but the LED no longer flashes.
Sensor - actuator connection:
The sensor and the actuator of the motion detector are connected at the factory. This means that as soon as motion is detected, the actuator is switched on. However, in order to be able to carry out more individual programming, the sensor can also be disconnected from the actuator. If the disconnection is activated in the sensor part, you have the possibility to set the follow-up time of the motion detector individually. For example, you can define a staircase function of 15 minutes for the switching actuator part, but the devices that are controlled by the sensor via scenes and triggers can already be switched off after the overrun time of 5 minutes has elapsed.
Application example for the separation of sensor and actuator:
When the two parts are connected, the light that is directly connected to the motion detector is always switched on. But if you don't want to switch on the light every time at night, scenes and triggers will be created after the separation. When switching on, the motion detection will be linked with a condition. Period 11 pm to 5 am.
