If the RolloTron should ever fail and the motor stops running, you can use the gear release to pull the webbing completely out of the belt winder without having to cut it.
WARNING!
There is a risk of injury as the roller shutter can fall down without braking.
◆ Secure the roller shutter against falling down, for example by placing it underneath.
◆ Hold the webbing firmly so that the roller shutter does not fall down without braking.
◆ Have a second person help you unlock the shutter.
The following procedure:
Flush-mounted belt winder:
- Pull the power plug out of the socket.
- Remove the belt rewinder from the belt box by unscrewing the two screws.
- Remove the release clip from the storage compartment.
The release clip is a small, red plastic U-bolt.
On older models, the bracket has also been black or brass-colored.
- Press the release clip into the two small slots.
The clip cannot be pushed all the way in, but you should notice that you are pushing a spring back with the clip. Then hold the clip in this position and pull the webbing out as far as possible. -
Release the webbing from the fastening hook and pull it completely out of the RolloTron.
Note:
Gear unlocking is possible on all belt winders built after 2000.
Swivel winder:
- Pull the power plug out of the socket.
- Turn the RolloTron swivel winder completely to the side.
- Take the unlocking clip out of the storage compartment on the back of the device.
- Unlock the gear unit using the enclosed unlocking clip. You must overcome a small amount of resistance when pressing it.
- Remove the winding wheel cover. Release the belt strap from the mounting hook and pull it completely out of the belt winder.
- Press in the mounting lock on the back and pull the belt rewinder down off the wall bracket.
- Put the release clip back into the storage compartment.
