All RolloTron devices have integrated obstacle detection and motor monitoring. Obstacles are detected by the devices by means of belt monitoring. In the devices, the belt runs past a small deflection roller and rotates it. There is a magnet in this roller, which is detected by a sensor. If for some reason the roller does not turn, the motor stops.
RolloTron devices CANNOT be operated without a belt for this reason.
In some cases, the roller is mechanically blocked because the belt winder was screwed on too tightly with the screw (do not use a cordless screwdriver). Loosen the mounting hood and make sure that the plastic guide for the screw is not broken.
The motor is monitored electronically. If the RolloTron is under extreme load, for example due to a blocked shutter, the electronics detect this condition and switch off the motor. In this case, check whether the roller shutter moves smoothly and remove any blockages if necessary.
