Up to 8 actuators can be registered on each button group of the multiple wall switch.
The multiple wall switch distinguishes between tubular motor actuators, switching actuators and dimmers.
Only one of these product types can be registered per button group. Example:
On button group 1 only switching actuators, on button group 2 only tubular motors.
If a button group is already occupied by switching actuators, forexample, it is no longer available fortubular motors and dimmers.
The multiple wall pushbutton can also be registered with the HomePilot® and trigger more complex scenes.
Activate registration mode:
Switch the respective DuoFern device to registration mode (see respective instructions for use).
Tip. If the DuoFern device is no longer accessible but already registered with the HomePilot®, bridge, central operating unit or the HomeTimer, you can alternatively use the remote registration function.
To do this, call up the DuoFern device in the HomePilot® app and select General in the configuration. The remote login function can be started here.
In combination with the central operating unit type 9493-1, the function can be found in the device settings.
With the older central operating unit type 9493, use the menu item 1-1-2-3.
With the HomeTimer type 9498 the function is to be used under the menu item 9-9-8.
Press keys 1 and 2 simultaneously for 1 second. The LEDs 1 and 2 flash green. The login mode remains active for approx. 120 seconds.
After successful login, the LEDs of the keys that are still free light up green. Tap the desired free button group to assign the new DuoFern device. Successful registration is acknowledged by the green LEDs flashing briefly three times.
Notes on multi-channel actuators
In the case of multi-channel actuators, the first channel is assigned first and acknowledged by the green LEDs flashing briefly three times. After acknowledgement of the first channel, the LEDs that are now still free light up green again. The next channel can now be assigned by tapping a desired free key group.
If you want to skip a channel during registration, proceed as follows as soon as the free LEDs light up green:
Press any key on the multiple wall switch for 5 seconds. After successfully skipping the channel, all LEDs flash red briefly.
You can then assign the next channel if there are still other channels available on the actuator.
