No, this is not possible. The RolloTron 1400 is a receive-only device. This means that it can only perform functions that are communicated to it by a transmitter device, e.g. the HomePilot 9496-3, DuoFern Manual Control 9493-1, DuoFern HomeTimer 9498 or RolloTron Comfort DuoFern 1800/ 1840/ 1805.
A sun sensor cannot be connected. If the device is to be controlled by sun, you need a DuoFern sun sensor 9478, which measures the sun and gives the command to move down. The sun position can be set individually for each DuoFern Rollotron.
Alternatively, you can connect a wired sun/twilight sensor (type 3711) to the RolloTron Comfort DuoFern and thus control other actuators such as the RolloTron Standard DuoFern via the RolloTron Comfort DuoFern.
If the HomePilot 9496-3 is used, it is also possible to use our DuoFern environmental sensor type 9475. The DuoFern environmental sensor is a wireless weather station that controls your shutters based on weather data. This wireless weather sensor measures: temperature, rain, wind speed, sun position, sun height and brightness. It sends the data automatically by radio to the registered DuoFern receivers.
