If the new lamp is the same type of load, you usually do not have to do anything. If the new illuminant is a new load, e.g. when replacing halogen lamps with toroidal transformer to 230Volt LEDs, then the load type must be determined again.
Determine the load type again: Briefly interrupt the power supply to the universal dimmer. When the lamp is switched on for the first time, the load type is automatically detected, provided that the setting wheel is set to A.
