You have the possibility to swap devices against each other. In doing so, two devices swap their roles and tasks in the scenes and groups. This function is particularly useful if a defective device is to be replaced by a new one.
Example
:A defective tubular motor actuator 9471-1 is to be replaced by a new device. A defective device is displayed pale in the app because it is no longer accessible.
Identify this device by entering the addition delete in the name, for example. This makes it easier to identify the device later.
Now register the new tubular motor actuator 9471-1 and assign the appropriate name. As you can see below, the device is not involved in any scene.
Now click on the menu and select Swap devices.
Now select the first device, in this case the defective device of the kitchen.
Second, select the newly registered device.
When the security question is confirmed with OK, the two devices swap in the HomePilot. The new device is now present in all scenes and groups in which the exchanged device was.
Finally, please check the activated automations of the new device again. These will not be synchronized when swapping. Activate e.g. the sun automatic, twilight automatic etc. if this device is used in the corresponding scenes. Likewise, total run times or sun positions must also be checked and set.
Finally, the defective device is deleted. To do this, click on Deregister devices. Select the device and click Logout.
