Check connection
The first step should be to check whether the registered receiver responds to the sun sensor. To do this, exit the menu of the sun sensor by tapping the menu key several times if necessary until no LED is lit.
Then tap one of the control buttons on the side. If you have successfully logged in, you can operate the sunshade using the two buttons. If this is not possible, repeat the login procedure.
Testing the sun function
If the receiver responds properly to manual operation, you should test the sun function.
Open the hangings completely using the operating keys.
Tap the menu key until the yellow menu LED lights up. Now press both operating keys simultaneously. All registered sunblinds must now move to the sun position.
Accept sun position
If the sunshade does not respond to the test of the sun function, you should adopt the sun position again for the affected receivers.
To do this, move all the sun shading products of the registered actuators to the desired sun position. Even if you only want to change the sun position for one sunblind, all sunblinds must be moved to the positions.
Now tap the menu key on the sun sensor until the menu LED lights up yellow. Now tap the menu key and the Minus/AB key simultaneously. All registered motors acknowledge the takeover by briefly pressing. When a sun position is accepted, the necessary sun automatic is activated at the receiver at the same time.
Check runtime
With some receivers, such as the Troll Basis DuoFern or Troll Comfort DuoFern, the sun control can only be activated if a valid total runtime has been set beforehand. If the runtime is set to the factory setting of 150 seconds, activation is not possible.
Setting the runtime for the Troll Basis DuoFern
Close the roller shutter completely, then press and hold the UP and CLOCK buttons together until the roller shutter is completely open and the motor switches off automatically.
Setting the running time for the Troll Comfort DuoFern
Close the roller shutter completely, then open the roller shutter completely in menu 9-2 by pressing and holding the UP button until the motor switches off.
After the runtime setting, you have to accept the sun position again.
Set sun mode
DuoFern receivers such as the RolloTron Comfort DuoFern and the Troll Comfort DuoFern have different sun modes. Set the sun mode under menu item 9-9-3 to 3 for external sun sensor.
