Prerequisite:
In order to use the HomePilot app on the go, it is necessary to register the HomePilot on the WR-Connect server for free. Please see our help video for registration.
If the registration is done directly from the app, the HomePilot is registered to the account you also use for the app.
Important:
A HomePilot can only be registered to one user account. If multiple users are using the app, they must all use the same user account. It is possible to use a different account to use the app, but remote access will then not be possible.
Check Log In Data:
Check that your Log In data is correct by first trying to log in via https://portal.homepilot.de/login. The HomePilot you want to control must be listed in the overview. If you can connect at this point, the registration and the correct function of the HomePilot in the network are confirmed.
If the error message "An error occurred during login. The email address or password is invalid. Please try again." If necessary, you should change the password by clicking on "Forgot Password" and try the log in again.
Re-register HomePilot:
If it is not known which account the HomePilot is registered to, the HomePilot can also be re-registered.
Important:
Make sure that you can actually reach the HomePilot® locally. If you use the app you can control the access under Settings - Current device, here local must be displayed. If you access the HomePilot® with the PC interface, check the entry in the address bar. Here must be either the IP of the HomePilot® or the host name http://homepilot.local.
Deregistering HomePilot® from the current account and registering again
Select Settings - Device configuration - WR-Connect
Click Logout, then click Register. The HomePilot® will be registered to the account you are using in the app. In the PC interface, you will be asked which account you want to use. You could also create a new account here.
