A fly screen door is usually mounted between the door and the roller shutter. If the screen door is accidentally not closed completely, the roller shutter curtain will hit the door and may be damaged.
The normal obstacle detection system responds at the factory only after one turn, which may be too late in the case of the flyscreen door being open. If the screen door protection is activated, the motor stops much more sensitively and earlier. The motor reverses and releases the door again. This provides the best possible protection for the flyscreen door and the hangings.
The fly screen door protection is deactivated at the factory and can only be activated via the HomePilot. To do this, call up the motor in the HomePilot app and activate the additional function "Fly screen protection" under Device settings in the Obstacle detection area.
Note: We recommend using a roller shutter curtain with stoppers or end rail, as otherwise the roller shutter curtain could be driven into the box when stopping and reversing. If you do not use stoppers, the reversing function can be deactivated if an obstacle is detected.
