Create backup file:
If you regularly save the data of your HomePilot in a backup file, all data will be available in case of a reset or replacement. In this backup file all registered devices, all settings of your scenes and triggers as well as the complete HomePilot settings are stored.
We recommend that you create at least one backup file if changes have been made to the programming or new devices have been registered.
Create backup file via HomePilot app:
To create a backup file click on Settings, HomePilot Settings, Maintenance, Create Backup.
You can save the backup file locally on the device or share it via another app, depending on the smartphone or tablet you are using. We recommend sending the backup file via email.
To restore a backup, go to the location where the backup was saved. For example, in the local files of your smartphone or in the location of the app you are using. Depending on your smartphone, the file may also be stored in the downloads.
Click on the file and either open it directly with the HomePilot app if this option is offered to you or share the file with the HomePilot app by clicking on this icon.
Create backup file via computer:
You can also create the backup file by computer at any time. Access the HomePilot interface by typing in the browser bar http://homepilot.local or alternatively the IP address of the HomePilot.
Select "Settings > Maintenance > Backup" and save the file on your computer. To restore a backup file, click on "Open" and select the desired file.
